Geofencing is a location-based service that constructs a virtual boundary or fence around a business location such as a retail store or convention centre. It uses GPS (Global Positioning Systems), RFID software (Bluetooth) and Wi-Fi or cellular data to trigger a response when an enabled device enters or exits the fenced area. Once an IP address has been captured, display ad campaigns are immediately delivered to the device owner as impressions on apps and websites which they regularly visit or interact.
